
CP Eloho Edwin Okpoziakpo, B.Sc, MILD, carried out an assessment of the Financial Malpractices Investigation Unit (FMIU); a specialized section of PSFU responsible for the investigation of failed banks and complex financial crimes in Nigeria.
During the visit, the Commissioner of Police commended the Deputy Commissioner of Police FMIU, DCP Surajo Salisu Malumfashi and his team on their critical role in safeguarding the integrity of the Nation’s financial system, noting that their mandate remains vital in addressing financial malpractice and restoring public confidence in the banking sector.
He further charged the officers to remain committed and aligned to the vision of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM; to pilot a world standard Police Force. CP Eloho concluded by emphasizing the need for officers of the Unit to maintain the highest standards of professionalism, integrity and shun all forms of corrupt practices while discharging their lawful duties.
