PSFU RECIEVES CP VUNGMOH KWAIMO OF RAILWAY POLICE COMMAND ON A ONE DAY COURTESY VISIT.

In a bid to strengthen inter command collaboration and enhance operational efficiency within the Nigeria Police Force, the Commissioner of Police, Police Special Fraud Unit (PSFU) Lagos, CP Rose Chollom Dung, mspsp played host to CP Vungmoh Kwaimo of Railway Command during a courtesy call at the Sunday Adewusi House, 13 Milverton Road Ikoyi, Lagos. The visit provided an opportunity for both Commands to deliberate extensively on strategies to combat fraudulent activities within the railway sector and promote transparency in rail operations nationwide.

Discussions were centered on deepening intelligence sharing, improving inter-unit coordination, and enhancing investigative cooperation in cases relating to fraud, forgery, and other financial crimes affecting the railway system.

While welcoming the visiting Commissioner of Police and his entourage, the Commissioner of Police PSFU Lagos commended the Railway Command for its proactive engagement and expressed the Unit’s relentless commitment  in supporting efforts aimed at curbing economic and financial crimes in the transportation sector as she specifically tasked the Team Manager, Transportation Fraud Section of the Unit to provide all necessary investigative assistance, technical and professional support to the Railway Command whenever the need arises. The CP emphasized that such cooperation is vital to ensuring effective enforcement, transparency, and accountability in Nigeria’s public transportation system.

The visit reaffirmed the shared resolve of both Commands to strengthen institutional collaboration in line with the vision of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, to promote intelligence led policing, and zero tolerance for corruption within the Force.

The meeting concluded with both Commissioners pledging sustained partnership and joint operational engagements to ensure that fraudulent practices within the railway sector are promptly detected, thoroughly investigated, and diligently prosecuted.
